Magic Link sign-in lets you log into Ingage without typing a password. You enter your email address, Ingage emails you a one-time 6-digit code, and you enter that code to sign in.
Magic Link is now the default way to sign in on the Ingage web app. Password sign-in and Single Sign-On are both still available. Magic Link is ONLY available for logging into Ingage via the web.
Signing In with a Magic Link
Go to the Ingage sign-in page at teams.ingage.io.
Enter your email address and click Email me a sign-in code.
You will see a Check your email screen. Leave that tab open.
Open the email from Ingage and find the 6-digit code.
Type or paste the code into the code field on the sign-in screen.
You will then enter your Presentation Library.
The email also includes a sign-in button. Clicking it opens Ingage and signs you in without entering the code by hand. Use whichever is easier on the device you are using.
If your company uses a white or gray label version of Ingage, the flow is identical. Your sign-in page and your sign-in email carry your brand.
Prefer to Use Your Password?
Password based sign-in has not gone away. On the sign-in screen, choose the option to sign in with a password instead, and you will get the familiar Password and Forgot Password fields.
If your company uses Single Sign-On, you can continue using the SSO option. See Assistance Logging In with Single Sign-On for further information.
Please Note
Codes are 6 digits and are sent to the email address you entered.
Codes are short-lived — roughly 15 minutes. Request a new one if yours goes stale.
Requesting a new code replaces the previous one. Always use the code from the most recent email.
There is a short cooldown between requests. If the resend option looks unavailable, wait a moment and try again.
Never forward a sign-in code or sign-in link. It signs the recipient in as you, with your access to your company's content.
Ingage Support cannot look up or generate a sign-in code for you. This is deliberate — it would be the same as handing out your password. Always request your own code from the sign-in page.
Magic Link sign-in is not available for accounts at companies that require Single Sign-On. Those accounts sign in through SSO.
Troubleshooting
The email has not arrived.
Check your junk and spam folders first. Then confirm you typed your email address correctly. Codes normally arrive within a minute. If it has been longer than that, request a new one. If nothing arrives at all, email support@ingage.io.
My code expired.
Codes are only valid for about 15 minutes. Request a new code from the sign-in screen, then use the newest email. The older code will not work anymore.
My code is not being accepted.
The most common cause is entering a code from an older email. If you requested more than one code, only the newest will work. Reopen the most recent email from Ingage and use that code. If you are still stuck, request a fresh code and try again.
I saw "We couldn't send you a sign-in code."
The most common reason is that your company requires Single Sign-On, which does not use Magic Link — sign in with the SSO option instead. If your company does not use SSO, email support@ingage.io.
I was asked to confirm switching accounts.
This happens when you open a sign-in link or code for one email address while already signed in as a different user. Ingage will not swap your account silently. Confirm to switch, or cancel to stay signed in as you are.
FAQ
Q: Do I still need a password?
No. Magic Link sign-in is a way to sign in completely without one. Your password still works if you prefer it, and you can continue using it.
Q: Why use a code instead of a password?
There is nothing to remember and nothing to reset. Codes are short-lived, so an old one is useless to anyone who finds it later. And because every sign-in needs access to your inbox, your account is much for someone else to access.
Q: Can I share my code with a teammate so they can get in?
No. A code signs someone in as you. If a teammate needs access, an administrator should add them as a user so they can request their own code.
Q: Which platforms support Magic Link sign-in?
Only the Ingage web app currently has Magic Link support. It is unavailable on Ingage Desktop and iOS.
Q: Does this change anything for Single Sign-On companies?
No. SSO accounts will continue to sign in through SSO and do not use Magic Links.
Q: I am a new user signing in for the first time. Does this work for me?
Yes. Once an administrator has added you as a user, request a code with your email address and sign in — there will be no need to set up a password first.
Q: Can I request another code right away?
There is a short cooldown between requests. If the resend option is not available yet, wait a moment and try again.
Q: I use a branded version of Ingage. Does this apply to me?
Yes. GAF Present and Pella use the same Magic Link sign-in feature, with your brand on the sign-in page and the email.
