The Share to Customer feature allows sales reps to send an Ingage presentation directly to a customer using a secure web link or QR code. Unlike traditional public web sharing links, Share to Customer is purpose-built for customer-facing sharing — with time-bound expiration, dynamic content support, and enhanced analytics tracking. This feature is available on iPad, Desktop, and Web.
Why Use Share to Customer?
Share to Customer offers three key advantages over traditional public web presentations:
Time-Bound Links
Traditional public web presentations are available to everyone on the internet indefinitely. Share to Customer lets you set an expiration on each link, which helps drive urgency toward a decision. For example, if you're running a seven-day promotion, you can set the link to expire after seven days — ensuring customers can no longer view outdated pricing after the promotion ends.
Better Analytics Tracking
Each Share to Customer link is tagged with the customer's email address and tied to the sales rep who shared it. This means you can see exactly who shared the link and who it was shared with directly in Ingage Analytics.
Full Dynamic Content Support
Share to Customer fully supports dynamic content. If your presentation includes profile pages or dynamic content fields, those values will appear in the web presentation when shared. Because the link is tied to a specific user, that user's profile information will be displayed — making this the most impactful feature of Share to Customer.
Step 1: Enable Share to Customer (Admin)
Before sales reps can share presentations with customers, an administrator must enable the feature on each presentation they want to make available for sharing. This gives admins control over which content can be shared — for example, a sales manager may want to allow sharing of sales presentations but not internal training materials.
To enable Share to Customer on a presentation:
Go to the Presentation Library and locate the presentation you want to enable for sharing.
Click the edit pencil to open the presentation in the storyboard.
On the storyboard, you will see two web sharing options:
Public Web Link — The traditional option. This creates a link that is publicly available to everyone, does not support dynamic content, and does not support time-bound expiration.
Share to Customer — The new option. This supports dynamic content, time-bound sharing, and enhanced analytics tracking.
Click the checkbox next to Share to Customer to enable it.
Once enabled, sales reps presenting that presentation will be able to share it with customers from the field.
Step 2: Share a Presentation with a Customer
When a sales rep is presenting a presentation that has Share to Customer enabled, they can share it directly with a customer:
While presenting, look for the Share to Customer button in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. It appears on the right-hand side of the nav bar and displays a share arrow icon. Hovering over it on desktop will show the label "Share to Customer."
Click the button to open the Share to Customer form.
Fill in the required fields:
Customer Name — The customer's name, displayed in the header of the shared presentation.
Customer Email Address — Used to tag the shared presentation for Ingage Analytics.
Expiration — Choose how many days the link will remain active: 1 day, 7 days, or 14 days. If you need a longer timeframe, contact Ingage Support to have it updated.
Click Create Link. You will then have two options to share:
Copy Link — Copy the link and send it to your customer via email, text message, or any other method.
QR Code — Click the QR code icon to display a scannable QR code that the customer can photograph with their mobile device to open the presentation directly.
The Customer Experience
The shared presentation link opens in any web browser — no Ingage account is required.
Pages scroll vertically, showing one page at a time, and support popups and links.
The presentation is personalized with the rep's profile information, the customer's name, and the expiration date at the top of the shared presentation.
Dynamic content fields and profile pages display the sharing rep's information.
Viewing Activity in Analytics
Every Share to Customer link is tagged with the customer's email address and the sharing rep's identity, making it easy to track engagement:
Go to Ingage Analytics.
Open the Session Report for the shared presentation.
Use the filter bar and choose the email address from the dropdown to view sessions tagged with the customer's email address.
Click the arrow at the end of a session to view session details, including which pages were viewed and how much time was spent on each page.

FAQ
Q: How is Share to Customer different from a public web link?
A public web link makes the presentation available to everyone on the internet indefinitely. Share to Customer creates a time-bound, trackable, personalized link tied to a specific customer and sales rep, with full dynamic content support.
Q: How is Share to Customer different from a deep link?
A deep link is designed for system integrations (like a CRM). Share to Customer is specifically designed for customer-facing sharing with personalization and expiration.
Q: Can I reuse a Share to Customer link?
No. Each link is unique and tied to the expiration you set. After expiration, a new link must be generated.
Q: What if my customer prefers a QR code?
No problem — use the QR code option to let them scan and view the presentation instantly on their mobile device.
Q: Does the customer need an Ingage account?
No. They can open the link in any modern web browser — no login required.
Q: What if I need the link to last longer than 14 days?
Contact Ingage Support and they can update the expiration options for your use case.
Q: Why don't I see the Share to Customer button when presenting?
An administrator must first enable Share to Customer on the presentation. If you don't see the button, reach out to your admin to have it enabled from the storyboard.
Q: Which platforms support Share to Customer?
Share to Customer is available on iPad, Desktop, and Web — so reps can use it regardless of where they're presenting from.
