Desktop Add Page: Using Page Templates

Add Page in the Ingage desktop app lets you add professionally designed page templates to any presentation. You can browse templates by category, preview them in your company branding and add one or many pages in a single step, including blank layouts.

Why Use It?

No Marketplace install required

Previously, adding a template meant installing a template pack from the Marketplace, returning to the desktop app and opening the page editor. Now every template is available directly in Add Page. For example, if you need an About Us page before tomorrow's appointment, you can find it and add it without leaving your presentation.

See it before you add it

You can preview any page, including its popups and interactive elements, before it touches your presentation. Previews show your company's theme colors and logo, so you know exactly what you're getting.

Always current, faster to open

Templates update automatically when the Ingage design team publishes new pages. Your company templates now download only when you choose them, so the desktop app starts faster.

Step 1: Update the Ingage desktop app

No admin setup is required. Anyone who can edit a presentation can use Add Page once they're on the latest desktop version.

  1. Open the Ingage desktop menu.

  2. Select Check for Updates.

  3. Install the update and restart the app if prompted.

Step 2: Add a page from a template

  1. Open the presentation you want to edit.

  2. Click Add Page.

  3. Click a page template, such as Company Story, to see the pages it contains. You can also open:

    • My Templates: your company's own templates.

    • Recently Used: pages you've added recently.

    • Blank layouts: start from an empty layout.

  4. Hover over a page and select Preview to see it full size. Click popups and interactive elements to check how they work.

  5. Select the page. To select more than one, hold Command and click each page, or click Add All to select every page in the template.

  6. Click Add [number] Pages. The pages are added to your presentation.

Step 3: Manage My Templates

  1. In Add Page, open My Templates.

  2. Click the download icon on any template you want to use. Downloaded templates stay on your device as long as you remain logged in.

  3. To remove a template you no longer need, right click on the template you’d like to remove and choose “Remove Template” from the dropdown menu.

The End User Experience

Pages added from templates work like any other page in your presentation. They carry your company's theme colors and logo, and you can edit them in the page editor to fit your business. Reps presenting the finished presentation see the page as you've edited it.

FAQ

Do I still need to install templates from the Marketplace? No. Templates are available directly in Add Page.

Do I need to download My Templates every time I open the app? No. Once downloaded, a template stays on your device as long as you remain logged in.

Why do I have to download My Templates at all? Previously, every company template downloaded each time the app opened, which slowed startup. Now you download only the templates you need, so the app opens faster.

Will templates match my company branding? Yes. Previews and added pages use your company's theme colors and logo.

Can I see a template before adding it? Yes. Click a page template to see its pages, hover over a page and select Preview. You can interact with popups and other elements in the preview.

Can I add more than one page at a time? Yes. Hold Command to select several pages, or use Add All to add every page in a template.

Can I still start from a blank page? Yes. Blank layouts are still available in Add Page.

How do I find out when new templates are added? New templates appear in Add Page automatically as soon as the Ingage design team publishes them.

Who do I contact if templates aren't showing up? Confirm you're on the latest desktop version, then contact Ingage Support.
