Hiding and Unhiding Pages and Sections

Keep unfinished or irrelevant content out of your live presentation without deleting it by hiding pages and sections

Not every page or section in your presentation is ready to be seen by your audience at the same time. Maybe you're still working on a page, waiting on final assets, or have seasonal content that isn't relevant right now. Instead of deleting unfinished or irrelevant content, you can hide it. Hidden pages and sections remain in your presentation for editing purposes but won't be visible to viewers when presenting.

Key benefit: Hiding lets you keep content in your presentation without publishing it — no risk of accidentally deleting work in progress, and no need to rebuild pages later.

Hiding a Single Page

To hide a page from the Storyboard:

  1. Locate your presentation and enter Edit mode to view the Storyboard

  2. Right-click on the page you'd like to hide

  3. Select Hide from the context menu

  4. The page will appear greyed out in the Storyboard, indicating it is hidden

Hidden pages remain visible in Edit mode so you can continue working on them, but they will not appear when presenting.

Hiding an Entire Section

If you need to hide multiple pages at once, you can hide a whole section:

  1. From the Storyboard, locate the section title above the group of pages you'd like to hide

  2. Right-click on the section title (or the two horizontal lines to the right of the section name)

  3. Select Hide from the context menu

  4. All pages within that section will be hidden at once and appear greyed out in the Storyboard

Unhiding Pages and Sections

When the hidden content is ready to be included in your presentation, unhide it using the same process:

  1. From the Storyboard, right-click on the hidden (greyed out) page or section title

  2. Select Show (or Unhide) from the context menu

  3. The page or section will return to its normal appearance and will be visible when presenting

Tip: If you've hidden an entire section but want to unhide just one page within it, you'll need to unhide the section first, then hide the individual pages you still want to keep hidden.

Using Keyboard Shortcuts

For faster workflow, you can use keyboard shortcuts to hide and unhide pages and sections without right-clicking. Select the page or section in the Storyboard, then use the appropriate shortcut to toggle its visibility. This is especially helpful when you're working with several pages and need to quickly show or hide content as you build out your presentation.

When to Use Hide

  • Work in progress — Keep pages you're still designing in the presentation without exposing them to your viewers

  • Seasonal or rotating content — Hide pages for products or services that aren't currently being offered, then unhide them when the time is right

  • Tailoring presentations for specific audiences — Hide pages that aren't relevant to a particular customer or meeting, without permanently removing them from the presentation

  • Preserving content for later — Instead of deleting a page you might need again, hide it so it's always available when you need it

Things to Know

  • Hidden pages and sections are only visible in Edit mode — they will not appear when presenting or when shared via web link

  • Hiding content does not delete it — all components, actions, and settings on hidden pages are preserved

  • Hiding is available to Creators and Admins in Edit mode. Admins can also hide/show pages in Customize mode on managed presentations.

  • Remember to publish your changes after hiding or unhiding content so that the updates are reflected for your team. For more on publishing, see Publishing Changes to Ingage Content.

  • For more on managing pages and sections in the Storyboard, see Creating & Editing Content
