When editing a page in your presentation, you may need an image but don't have one readily available on your computer. Instead of leaving the app to search for photos elsewhere, you can use the built-in Image Search feature to browse a full library of images and drag them directly onto your page.
Accessing Image Search
Locate your presentation and enter Edit mode
Navigate to the page where you'd like to add an image
In the top left corner of the application, click the menu bar
Select Image Search from the dropdown menu
The Image Search panel will open, giving you access to a library of images
Finding and Adding an Image
Type a keyword into the search bar to find images related to your topic (e.g., "coaching," "roofing," "teamwork")
Browse through the results to find an image that fits your page
Click on the image you'd like to use and drag it onto your page
Drop it into the desired location — you can place it into an existing image placeholder or onto an open area of the canvas
Tip: If you want to use the same image in multiple spots on the page, simply drag and drop it again from the Image Search panel to a different location.
Repositioning an Image After Adding It
Once an image is on your page, you can easily move it to a different position by clicking and dragging it to wherever you'd like. You can also resize the image using the white handles around the bounding box, and use the Style Panel on the right sidebar to adjust properties like crop, corner radius, opacity, and more.
For more details on working with images after they've been placed, see the Image section of the Component Guide.
Things to Know
Image Search is a great alternative when you don't have your own photos available — no need to leave Ingage to find imagery
This feature is available on the Desktop app (Mac and Windows)
Images from the search library are added directly to your presentation and will be included when the presentation syncs to your team
For other ways to source images while editing, check out the CompanyCam integration for project-specific photos, or drag images directly from your desktop file system onto the page
