Ingage presentations don't have to exist in isolation — you can link any component on a page to an external website, allowing your audience to access additional resources without leaving the flow of your presentation. When the viewer taps or clicks the linked element, the website opens directly within the Ingage app, keeping everything in one seamless experience.
This is especially useful when you want to connect your presentation to content that lives outside of Ingage, like your company website, a LinkedIn profile, online reviews, a quoting tool, or a manufacturer's product page.
How to Link a Website to a Component
Locate your presentation and enter Edit mode by clicking the pencil icon in the upper right corner
Navigate to the page where you'd like to add the web link
Select the component you want to make clickable — this can be a text box, image, shape, or icon
In the right sidebar, click Action
Click Add Action and select Web
In the Action Panel, paste or type the full URL of the website you'd like to link to (e.g.,
https://www.linkedin.com/in/yournameorhttps://www.yourcompany.com)Close the Action Panel — the link is now attached to the component
Testing Your Web Link
Click the Play button in the upper right corner to preview your presentation
Navigate to the page where you added the web link
Look for a pulsing circle animation on the linked component — this indicates it is interactive
Tap or click the component to open the linked website
The website will load directly within the Ingage app
Note: The viewer must have an internet connection for the website to load. If the device is offline, the web page will not display.
Use Case Ideas
Company website — Link to your homepage so customers can explore more about your business during or after a presentation
LinkedIn or social profiles — Add a link to your name or photo on an intro slide so prospects can learn more about you and your experience
Online reviews — Link to your Google Reviews, Yelp, or other review pages to build credibility during a sales conversation
Product pages — Connect to a manufacturer's product detail page so customers can see specs, colors, or additional options
Quoting or financing tools — Link to an external quoting tool, financing application, or project estimator to streamline the close
Scheduling pages — Add a link to your Calendly or scheduling tool so prospects can book a follow-up meeting right from the presentation
Things to Know
The Web action opens the website in an embedded browser within the Ingage app — the viewer doesn't leave the presentation to visit the site
An internet connection is required for the website to load. If your team presents in areas with limited connectivity, plan accordingly
You can add a Web action to any component that supports actions — including text, images, shapes, and icons. You can also use a pre-styled Button or Point of Interest with the Web action type.
If you prefer not to have the pulse animation on the linked component, you can turn it off in the Action Panel by changing the Animation setting to None
When sharing your presentation via a public web link, web action buttons will open the linked URL in a new browser tab rather than in an embedded view
