How to Share Presentations with Your Customers

The Share to Customer feature allows you to send an Ingage presentation directly to a customer using a secure web link or QR code. Unlike deep links or web sharing links, this feature is purpose-built for customer sharing, with tracking, personalization, and expiration controls. This feature is available in all Ingage apps (e.g. iPad, Desktop, and Web).

Why Use Share to Customer?

  • Share presentations instantly with customers in a secure, trackable way.

  • Create urgency with time-limited links.

  • Personalize each share with customer and rep details.

How It Works

  1. There are two ways to open Share to Customer:

    • From the Presentation Library: Click the ... (context menu) in the lower right corner of a presentation, then select Share to Customer.

    • While Presenting: Click the Share to Customer button in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Both options open the Share to Customer dialog, where you’ll enter the required customer details.

  3. Fill in three required fields:

    • Customer Name (The customer name is displayed in the header to personalize the shared presentation)

    • Customer Email Address (Used to tag the shared presentation for Ingage analytics)

    • Expiration Date (1, 7, or 14 days; the default is 7 days)

  4. Click Create Link. You’ll have two options:

    • Copy Link: Paste into an email, text, or message.

    • QR Code: Display a QR code that customers can scan immediately with their phone.

The Customer Experience

  • The presentation link opens in any web browser.

  • Pages scroll vertically, showing one page at a time and support popups and links.

  • The presentation is personalized with the rep’s name, customer’s name, and the expiration date at the top of the shared presentation.

Viewing Activity in Analytics

Every Share to Customer link is tagged with the customer’s email address. This makes it easy to track engagement:

  1. Go to Ingage Analytics.

  2. Open the Session Report for the shared presentation.

  3. Use the filter bar and choose the email address from the dropdown to view sessions tagged with the customer’s email address.

  4. Click the arrow at the end of a session to view the session details. From the session details you can see which pages were viewed and how much time was spent on each page.

Q: How is Share to Customer different from a deep link?
A deep link is meant for system integrations (like a CRM). Share to Customer is specifically designed for customer-facing sharing with personalization and expiration.
Q: Can I reuse a Share to Customer link?
No. Each link is unique and tied to the expiration you set. After expiration, a new link must be generated.
Q: What if my customer prefers a QR code?
No problem—use the QR code option to let them scan and view the presentation instantly.
Q: Does the customer need an Ingage account?
No. They can open the link in any modern web browser—no login required.
Q: Can I share from both the library and while presenting?
Yes. Use the library option when planning ahead or sending a presentation proactively. Use the in-presentation option to share live, on the spot with a customer.
