Enabling a Session Inactivity Timer
To enable a Session Inactivity Timer:
As an Admin, select Manage in the left sidebar of the Ingage App, or login to teams.ingage.io
In the left sidebar click Manage
Select Company from the expanded menu
Select Settings at the top of the page
Check the box next to Enable Inactivity Reminder
Set a Maximum Inactivity based on the expected length of an average sales conversation, maybe 30 - 60 min
Optional add an Alert Message giving more details to your users when receiving this notification
Enabling a Session Inactivity Timer will present your users with a "Would you like to start a new session?" message after whatever time period you set. We suggest setting this for a period of time congruent with how your sales calls are scheduled.
Overriding a Session Inactivity Timer
Session Inactivity Timers are helpful for your field reps, as they assist in reminding your team to reset before beginning a new session. There is no personal benefit to overriding this timer.
You may want to override the Session Inactivity Timer on a device you're using in Kiosk Mode or while presenting on a showroom floor.
To override the Session Inactivity Timer on an Apple device:
Download the shortcut from this Google Drive link: Ingage Kiosk Apple Shortcut
Open the shortcut and make sure that the path to Ingage points to the correct location of your Ingage application (the shortcut is configured to look in the /Applications folder)
If prompted by the Shortcuts app, enable a “Shell Commands” permission
To override the Session Inactivity Timer on a Windows device:
On install the app should already create a desktop shortcut for Ingage
Copy the existing shortcut and rename to something like “Ingage Desktop - Kiosk Mode”
Right click on the new shortcut and choose to edit properties
In the shortcut properties, append the --kiosmode flag after the target file path and final quote mark
So if the original target path is "C:\Users\user\AppData\Programs\Local\Ingage Desktop\Ingage Desktop.exe"
Set it to : "C:\Users\user\AppData\Programs\Local\Ingage Desktop\Ingage Desktop.exe" --kioskmode
