05-22-2023 Release Notes, Analytics Phase 1,

Next generation of Ingage Analytics

Phase 1, Release 5/22/2023

This is the first release of Ingage’s next generation analytics. The MVP (Minimal Viable Product) for this release includes the new Dashboard and home reports for Sessions, Users, and Content. These views and reports should show correct data for the selected date ranges and other filtering criteria are applied.

Known Issues

  • Access to the Session and Presentation Detail is enabled in this release but these reports are still in Alpha and you may experience data and display inconsistencies when viewing.
  • Export controls (CSV, PDF & JPG) are displayed but the exports are not supported in this release.

Tips

  • Next generation analytics uses the same data as our current analytics offering. This means you can set date ranges prior to this release date to view historical data with the new UI/UX.
  • There are no limits on the amount of data that can be returned for a report filter. Pay attention to your filter criteria to keep the data sets manageable.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is the top level analytics view. The dashboard answers 3 basic questions for the previous full week (7 days, Sun to Sat) without the user needing to filter, search or sort.

How many sessions did we have last week?

This section shows the total number of sessions for all users in the company, for the previous full week (Sun to Sat) as a bar chart. Bars for the previous weeks are also displayed. Hovering over a bar displays a tooltip with totals for the previous 3 weeks.

Three analytics widgets below the chart show trends for the average number per day, duration, number of pages shown for the previous 6 weeks. Hovering over the point on the trend line displays a tooltip with total for the week.

The Session Home report can be viewed by pressing the View Sessions button.

Which users were most active last week?

This section shows the top 5 users with the most number of sessions in the previous week and the average duration across all sessions for that user.

The Users Home report can be viewed by pressing the View Users button.

Where did my users spend the most time?

This section shows the top 5 presentations with the most number of views in the previous week and the average duration of each presentation. A detailed page report for the presentation is displayed when the green arrow is pressed.

Note: The presentation detail page report is still in Alpha, you may experience data and display inconsistencies when viewing.

The Content Home report can be viewed by pressing the View Content button.

Filters allow you to narrow the results by choosing a date range, one or more teams, users or tags. The default filter values are this month, all teams, all users, and all tags.

Users Home Report

The Users Home report is the top level view for Users. The table displays up to 20 users per page, with page navigation controls to move between pages. Each row in the table displays a user name with the total number of sessions and the average session duration.
